After debating a small low powered NAS for my HomeLab I settled on the GMKtec G9. I ordered it without any drives as I had a few Gen 3 M.2 drives around. The delivery was fast but when the product arrived it came with a UK instead of US power plug. I reached out to the Seller and recieved an appology for the confusion (there was no selection option during ordering) and was offered a $5 refund to cover the cost of purchasing a new Power Plug. I had already priced them out and hearing from the seller within a few hours to make it right was a real bonus. The MiniPC/NAS came preinstalled with Ubuntu 24.10 which was nice but I got it to be a NAS. TrueNAS did not like the EMMC storage and did not want to give up one of the drive bays. RockStor was ineffective but did install. Open Media Vault was good but operates using the very dated Debian 12, I settled on ZimaOS, plenty of room on the EMMC for several Docker containers and was able to set up RAID Pool and SAMBA Shares without issue
